In addition to image technology, there are other ways to enhance a presentation or business visage:
Graphics are the foundation of any multimedia presentation, and managed
correctly will lend a very professional look to any presentation. Care must
be taken, though, that graphics are not excessively large with a negative impact
on system performance.
Still Images are of primary importance, the basis for any presentation,
created from actual images of items, people, or events. With appropriate compression,
still images are one of the best ways to enhance a multimedia event.
Moving Images, though extremely information-intensive, may be utilized
through Indio, Cinepak, QuickTime, Sorenson, Windows Media Video, DIV-X, even MPEG-1 compression and playback
technologies. Critical issues of moving images are creating (compression requires
specialized hardware and software), storing (very large amounts of data are
required), or
transmitting (impractical without a high-speed DSL or Cable connection).
Sound may be added from sound effects, narration, interviews, .. synchronized
to the images or video presentation.
Animation is an added dimension, either for entertainment, or to illustrate a complex product or system.
